To design an eleven-story, multi-unit residence that gracefully falls into step with the surrounding urban and natural environment.
About this project
The Terraces project celebrates a collective human connection with the natural environment. Nestled into the Port Moody hillside, the Terraces site is graced with views of the city skyline and the North Shore mountains. Drawing inspiration from the plush rice paddy fields of Southern China, AMA designed the building as a series of eleven descending terraces that conform to the contours of the hillside.
The result is a low-rise building that connects seamlessly with its surroundings, gracefully adding density without visual obstruction.
