About This Project

Pariz on Dunbar, Vancouver, B.C.

The Dunbar Street building is divided into three 'steps', reminiscent of the adjacent built landscape grid. Residences range from single level 1-bedroom to two-bedroom, two-level units, maximizing spatial efficiency, light exposure and views. Units enjoy ample outdoor space- large balconies and roof decks. Street level retail space contributes to economic viability and a vibrant community.

High quality glass, brick and a concrete base provides a modern appearance with a residential feel that integrates within the neighborhood's urban character. Glazed canopies emphasize both commercial and residential entrances while articulating the fa├žade.

The design challenge / solution:
This challenging corner sloping site presented many challenges, such as: vehicular access to the underground parking, pedestrian access points, internal accessible circulation, and building massing within the height restricted envelope.
